Photonis engineers custom Advanced Performance Detectors (APDs) for a variety of applications, from mass spectrometry to UV and X-Ray astronomy. Every APD features one of our patented LongLifeTM Microchannel Plates, ranging in size from 4 to 120mm with many different format options available.

Photonis manufactures single and hexa-bore resistive glass inlet tubes for improved ion flow into the instrument. The patent resistive glass formula from Photonis preferentially attracts ions and guides them more effectively into the instrument, therefore increasing the sample output. Photonis tubes may increase ion transfer efficiency by a factor of 100x for a single-capillary tube and up to 1000x for a multi-capillary tube. All of Photonis’ capillary inlet tubes are available in standard inner diameter and outer diameter sizes or can be customized to fit seamlessly into your instrument.

BiPolar TOF detectors from Photonis are designed to maximize mass resolution of both positive and negative ions while conforming to a variety of unique configurations. UltraFast TOF detectors feature an 18mm, 2 micron pore MountingPad™ MCP or a 25mm 5 micron pore MountingPad™ MCP.
