Photonis is the world leader in Time-of-Flight detector technology and offers the highest temporal resolution detectors for both ADC and TDC based systems. A pioneer in developing scientific detector products, the company is recognized as the worldwide leader in electron multiplication technology for its Channeltron® Mass Spectrometer Detectors, Long-Life™ Microchannel Plates and Advanced Performance Detectors.
Kore is proud to be the UK distributor for Photonis, and we will be pleased to send you technical information, quotations and anything else you might need about the range of products. Read on to find out more about the range of Charged Particle Detection products Photonis has brought to us:
Photonis engineers custom Advanced Performance Detectors (APDs) for a variety of applications, from mass spectrometry to UV and X-Ray astronomy. Every APD features one of our patented LongLifeTM Microchannel Plates, ranging in size from 4 to 120mm with many different format options available.
Photonis APDs are designed to be used in ultra-high vacuum systems which can withstand the high temperatures reached during chamber cleaning. Learn more about these options by downloading our brochure below or contacting us.
Channeltron® electron multipliers are recognized as offering high dynamic range along with increased ion sensitivity and reduced noise. These detectors are also available in various sizes, shapes, and voltages depending on the application. Their high gain and low mass makes Channeltrons® and ideal choice for many mass spectrometer manufacturers, physics labs, and space applications. Learn more about the customizations available by downloading the brochure below or contacting us today.
Also available from Photonis’ Channeltron® line of products are the SpiraltronTM and MagnumTM detectors. Notably, Photonis offers many Channeltron® models as replacement detectors for analytical instruments. Download the OEM guide to learn more.
Discrete Dynode Detectors from Photonis are available in a dual-stage analog and pulse counting design to continuously improve dynamic range. The long lifetime of these detectors offer a long-lasting detection solution for superior accuracy and reliability.
Photonis manufacturers Microchannel Plates in a range of sizes (from 4mm to 150mm) and configurations designed to the customer’s exact specifications. Photonis is able to manufacture MCPs with a pore size as small as 2 microns for special applications. Available in detection, image, and premium grades, Photonis’ MCPs are designed to provide stable gain and outstanding bias current stability. Learn more about Photonis MCPs by downloading the brochure below
Also available are the new high collection efficiency MCPs which can increase the collection efficiency of your instrument up to 90%. With high sensitivity and low noise, these MCPs are ideal for applications which do not require sub-nano second timing. Learn more about Hi-CE MCPs by downloading this study or our brochure.
Photonis manufactures single and hexa-bore resistive glass inlet tubes for improved ion flow into the instrument. The patent resistive glass formula from Photonis preferentially attracts ions and guides them more effectively into the instrument, therefore increasing the sample output. Photonis tubes may increase ion transfer efficiency by a factor of 100x for a single-capillary tube and up to 1000x for a multi-capillary tube. All of Photonis’ capillary inlet tubes are available in standard inner diameter and outer diameter sizes or can be customized to fit seamlessly into your instrument.

Photonis designs detectors for portable, BiPolar, and UltraFast Time of Flight (TOF) instruments. Each TOF detector Photonis designs is customized to provide the best temporal and spatial resolution, highest mass sensitivity, and greatest dynamic range available.
BiPolar TOF detectors from Photonis are designed to maximize mass resolution of both positive and negative ions while conforming to a variety of unique configurations. UltraFast TOF detectors feature an 18mm, 2 micron pore MountingPad™ MCP or a 25mm 5 micron pore MountingPad™ MCP.
Kore Technology is a centre of excellence in time-of-flight mass spectrometer technology and has a very strong R&D capability in terms of its personnel, all of whom have been heavily involved in a variety of analytical instrumentation development programmes.
