Conference attendance at Metals of Life, University of Warwick, UK

Metals of Life: Transforming Health, Energy, and Environment

Kore was delighted to present at this outstanding interdisciplinary event at the University of Warwick on 5-7 July 2026. The conference brought together leading researchers, academics, industry professionals, and the next generation of scientists to explore the vital role that metals play in transforming health, energy, and the environment. From drug discovery and photoactivatable therapeutics to metallomics, catalysis, and sustainable technologies, the programme inspired innovation and collaboration. It was a privilege for Kore to be part of an event with such enthusiasm, curiosity, and commitment to advancing scientific discovery. We enjoyed the opportunity to connect with fellow delegates, to learn from the exceptional speaker programme, and to contribute to conversations that are shaping the future of science and technology.

Professor Lesley Yellowlees FRSC challenged the next generation of scientists: “Can you provide drinkable water, nutritious food, plentiful energy and a healthy long life to everyone in a pollutant free environment using only abundant elements?”

Conference mastermind Professor Peter Sadler FRS is a leading light in medicinal inorganic chemistry and a pioneer in drug discovery since the 1970s.
